Who We Are
Shyla's lifelong passion for horses began at a young age, driving her dedication to helping both horses and riders develop strong, trusting partnerships.
What started with guiding riders to enjoy their time with horses has evolved into a deeper focus—helping horses heal, regain strength, and achieve their goals alongside their owners. With a 2-year Certificate in Equine Therapy from B.C. College of Equine Therapy and hands-on experience at a Rehab and Conditioning Facility, Shyla is committed to supporting both horse and rider on their journey to success.
Shyla’s journey began in Grade 8 when her main horse, Rooster, injured himself. Determined to help him recover, she took it upon herself to learn and apply the therapy and rehab he needed to get back on track. Over the years, Shyla has gained a deep understanding of how to help horses heal and feel their best, ensuring they can return to their work stronger than before.
While on the rodeo team at Lakeland College, Shyla was introduced to various modalities that enhance a horse’s performance. Learning from seasoned professionals, conducting her own research, and collaborating with horse vets in Manitoba, she and her husband Eric decided to take the next step: bringing the first Rehab and Conditioning Center to the Heart of Manitoba. Now, Shyla offers everything from conditioning horses coming off a winter break to rehabbing post-injury or surgery, and everything in between.
